"Lava" Buttons

I hand formed these one of a kind artisan buttons which are meant to resemble bubbling black lava. They are made from a black (very dark brown) clay from Canada and have a somewhat matte appearance a lovely smooth feel to the touch. The buttons were fired in my kiln to a temperature of 2250F.  

The clay I use is fired to the stage of stoneware and they do not require removal during hand washing.
