These artisan pottery buttons were made by hand and hand painted in my studio. They are made with Canadian black clay and feature cheery pastel pinks, blues, greens, yellow and more. The colours were painted using glaze that has been fired into the clay so it will not chip or wear off and the button can be washed and is unaffected by detergent or water.

The buttons have lovely smooth feel and a slightly matte appearance. They have been fired in my kiln to stoneware hardness (2300F).

These little cuties would work well on a sweater, coat or knitted or sewn garment. They are perfect for a special project.
